Two lawmakers on the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee—are asking the Federal Trade Commission to investigate TikTok—citing issues with how it’s using users’ data.
It comes as a leader of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission is pressuring Apple and Google to remove TikTok from their app stores—citing national security concerns.
