Fed Buys Inflation Bonds

Jerome Powell, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, says to not worry about inflation, but commodity prices are rising quite rapidly.

The market doesn’t seem to share Powell’s optimism. The Fed is being forced to buy inflation-linked bonds at a pretty rapid rate, which keeps the price down artificially.

NTD interviewed economist Daniel Lacalle about what the Fed’s purchases mean.
