At least 31 people are dead after a female suicide bomber detonated in Musayyib, Iraq. At least that many were injured by the blast.

Witnesses said the woman wore a full-body veil. There was no sign of a bomb, and no warning.

ISIS has taken credit for the explosion.

Almost simultaneously, another woman blew up herself in Kerbala.

Musayyib is 35 miles north of Baghdad. Kerbala is about 15 miles further south.

Kerbala is a Shiite holy city. ISIS is hard-line Sunni.

ISIS is being defeated militarily in Syria and in Iraq. Some people fear the group might revert to its past, moving underground and striking through terrorism.
