Toddler Michael Brown was placed with his third foster family: the Browns.
When the family realized that they had the same last name as the little boy they were fostering, they knew it was meant to be. Michael’s case plan had changed from reuniting with his mother to severance and adoption — so the Browns knew they were meant to be his forever family.
When Michael first entered the Brown family, he was shy and he cried a lot. Switching families a lot can be really hard on a child, especially a kid who is as young as Michael was.
Now that it’s been a year and a half, Michael is an outgoing, confident three-year-old.
Michael’s sister, 17-year-old Dezhianna told Buzzfeed: “He’s a lot more outgoing now and you can now see the personality in him.”
“Now when he sleeps with me,” she said, “he’ll roll over in the morning and get super close to my face and say, ‘Dae, I so happy.’”
