The first freight train to bring goods from Britain to China headed off on Monday, April 10.
The train, loaded with vitamins, baby products, and other goods departed from DP World London Gateway depot in Essex.
The train is ultimately headed to Yiwu, China.
It will pass through seven countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan—on its 7,500-mile trek, which will take three weeks if all goes well.
Britain wants to develop trade with other nations as it prepares to leave the EU.
