First Lady Melania Trump read a Dr. Seuss book to a group of children at the Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in honor of National Read Across America Day.

The First Lady read “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” to a small group of children in the Pediatrics Unit on the sixth floor of the hospital.

“I came to encourage you to read—and to think about what you want to achieve in life,” said Trump.

Mrs. Trump arrived in black stilettos, a blue sweater and long black coat. A large diamond ring could be seen on her left hand as she held up the hardback copy of the book she says is her son’s favorite.

Mrs. Trump brought a box full of Dr. Seuss’s children’s books to leave for the children to read.
