At least five people have died and over 60 were rescued as Customs and Border Protection officers intercepted a human smuggling boat off the coast of Puerto Rico. It is the latest of a string of deadly incidents in the north Caribbean. It includes mostly Haitian migrants fleeing their country amid political and economic unrest and continued gang-related violence.
