Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has responded to a call for prosecution of Dr. Anthony Fauci and other architects of the U.S. response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Moody’s office received documents from the Vires Law Group, whose lawyers outlined why they think Dr. Fauci and other current and former officials should be charged, according to emails reviewed by The Epoch Times.

“This is to acknowledge the Florida Attorney General’s receipt of your concerns,” an official with Ms. Moody’s office told Rachel Rodriguez, who founded the Vires Law Group, in one of the messages.

The official referenced how the Florida Supreme Court in late 2022 approved a request from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to empanel a statewide grand jury to investigate COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers and others involved in providing the vaccines to Florida residents.

The official said that an appointee of Ms. Moody was serving as the grand jury’s legal adviser but because of “the confidential nature” of the grand jury, the office was “not at liberty to comment on these matters.”

In another missive, the official said that Ms. Moody’s duties “are prescribed by law,” without providing further details.

A spokeswoman for Ms. Moody did not return inquiries.

“We trust that we will be able to discuss with our top state law enforcement officials these extremely important and pressing concerns of the people of Florida, and seek justice on behalf of the families of tens of thousands of murdered Floridians due to the criminal acts of the federal officials and Florida state hospital administrators we have identified in our brief requesting investigation,” Ms. Rodriguez told The Epoch Times via email.

Lawyers are still working to meet with Ms. Moody and Nicholas Cox, who heads the Florida Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution after being appointed by the attorney general, “to discuss the evidence we have presented and assist them in any way they may need pertaining to this critical investigation,” Ms. Rodriguez added.

Alleged Criminal Acts

In documents sent to Ms. Moody, Ms. Rodriguez and another lawyer said that Dr. Fauci and others have committed criminal offenses against tens of thousands of Floridians.

Dr. Fauci, who headed the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases until late 2022, knew that COVID-19 was created through a type of research that enhances or adds a function, but lied when asked, documents state.

The lawyers pointed to how Dr. Fauci, in an email dated Feb. 1, 2020, said that experts on a call in which he participated suspected a mutation in the virus was “intentionally inserted.”

“The suspicion was heightened by the fact that scientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments to determine the molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection, and the outbreak originated in Wuhan,” Dr. Fauci wrote to a group that included Dr. Francis Collins, at the time the director of the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Fauci, though, said in testimony before Congress that the United States did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan laboratory, which a number of experts said was incorrect. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has previously called for Dr. Fauci’s prosecution.

Dr. Fauci also knew that people would have “substantial immunity” after recovering from COVID-19 but “then made contrary statements publicly to encourage Floridians to get ‘vaccinated’ for COVID because he declared natural immunity was not attainable/sufficient,” the lawyers told Ms. Moody, pointing to an email he sent in early 2020 and public statements he made later.

The lawyers also noted that Dr. Fauci touted a drug called remdesivir as a COVID-19 treatment based on trial results that showed people who received the drug recovered faster, with no statistically significant effect on mortality. Dr. Fauci later said remdesivir was an “imperfect drug” and that he publicized the trial results because he thought they would be leaked.

Remdesivir was established as the standard treatment nationwide after Dr. Fauci’s promotion.

Some studies have linked remdesivir with kidney issues, and the lawyers provided evidence to Ms. Moody of patients who died after receiving it.

Dr. Fauci and other officials “promoted a drug they knew caused more harm than good for patients, purposefully misrepresented the data showing its harmful effects, preventing any possibility of informed consent, and then forced that drug upon the citizens of Florida to the exclusion of other effective, beneficial licensed drugs,” the documents state.

The lawyers are also calling for the prosecution of Dr. Clifford Lane, Fauci’s top deputy; Dr. Collins; Dr. Deborah Birx, who helped lead the White House response to the pandemic; Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the former director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and Dr. Stephen Hahn, the former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The lawyers are asking for charges including aggravated manslaughter of the elderly, disabled, or children.

Additional documents referenced as supporting prosecution included how the CDC and FDA hid data showing how people who received COVID-19 vaccines were still being infected, and emails discussing how cheap drugs such as hydroxychloroquine were being used to treat COVID-19 but were dismissed publicly by Dr. Fauci and others.

Drs. Fauci, Lane, and Collins did not respond to requests for comment.

The other individuals could not be reached.
