Florida state lawmakers are considering House Bill 1223 which could restore the minimum age for buying a rifle or shotgun from age 21 back down to 18. The bill comes after the minimum age was raised, following a school shooting in 2018 when a 19-year-old used a rifle to kill 17 people.
