As the year comes to a close, NTD checked in again with one Chicago food bank that we talked to earlier this year, to see how they are doing now. Steve Wiley, the manager there, said inflation remains the biggest challenge, but they are committed to keeping it going. The pantry is one of only three food banks in Chicago that opens five days a week, according to Wiley, and serves about 2,000 people a month.
