A high school football team in Georgia helped a coach propose to his girlfriend.
The members of the Lanier High School football team can be seen giving flowers to an assistant coach’s girlfriend, thanking her for helping her boyfriend and allowing him to help the team, while the assistant coach prepares to give his proposal.
According to USA Today High School Sports, the proposal took place after the Lanier High School Longhorns defeated Gainesville High School 6-2. Gainesville High School is also in Georgia. Assistant Coach Pickett was helped in his proposal by the seniors on the team.
According to Pickett’s Twitter bio, he is the team’s recruiting coordinator and wide receiver coach.
“You can tell by her face she was very shocked,” Pickett said, via ABC. “I’m just grateful that God was able to place her in my life. When you can find a woman like that, that’s all you can ask for.”
