A Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) bus carrying 15 passengers was struck by a falling tree on the Schuylkill Expressway, Friday afternoon, Mar. 2.
Powerful wind gusts, rain, and snow had hit the region, causing the tree to come crashing down along the highway.
The incident happened on the westbound lanes of I-76 in Gladwyne, Montgomery County, at around 1 p.m. according to CBS Philly.
Four people suffered from minor injuries due to the incident, SEPTA spokesperson Heather Redfern told the Philly Voice. The transit authority initially reported on Friday that there were no injuries.
Traffic camera footage shows the large tree from the woods laying on top of the bus, as two lanes of vehicles behind it remain stuck.
All westbound lanes and the left eastbound lane were closed early Friday afternoon, Philly Voice reported.

SEPTA’s Route 125 bus was on route from Center City to King of Prussia and Valley Forge at the time. It was heading westbound when it was struck.
The storm on Friday also uprooted a massive 50-foot tall linden tree in Rittenhouse Square, according to Philly Voice. The tree came crashing down on the park grounds.
No one was injured at the park.
