While China’s reputation continues to deteriorate in the wake of its mishandling of the virus outbreak, tension is mounting between Beijing and Paris.

Beijing reacted strongly after France confirmed a $27 million sale of military equipment to Taiwan, which Communist China claims is one of its provinces.

The sale is an upgrade to the missile interference system they bought from France 30 years ago.

China’s foreign ministry warned Paris of consequences if they didn’t cancel the contract, but France declared it was within its rights, and invited Beijing to focus on the fight against the pandemic instead.
