France’s government imposed a curfew from 9 p.m. in over 40 areas in the country.

With over 1 million positive virus cases reported this Friday, restrictive measures in shops, events, and public spaces could be further tightened.

2,500 people have climbed the stairs of the Eiffel tower every day since the beginning of September, ten times less than normal.

As with other tourist spots and monuments in the country, the so-called Iron Lady is challenged by the closure of borders and the lockdown, following the pandemic.
