France: Macron’s Election Campaign Investigated

In France, the financial prosecutor’s office is investigating suspected favouritism and alleged illegal financing of President Emmanuel Macron’s elections campaign, in connection with contracts with U-S consultancy group McKinsey. Now, it was reported that the prosecutor in charge was invited to a private party at the Elysée palace, which has raised questions over impartiality.
