France Suspends Heated Debate on COVID Pass

French government officials vowed to enact by mid-January a law to block unvaccinated people from hospitality venues, despite the legislation hitting a procedural hitch in parliament overnight. The new law, which would remove the option of showing a negative test result instead of having the jabs, has the backing of several parties but is facing fierce resistance from campaigners and opposition parties.
