At the French Open on Wednesday, a five-set thriller saw third-seeded Alexander Zverev fall behind two sets to none against unseeded Sebastian Baez before mounting a comeback. The 25-year-old—thought to be one of the rising stars on the tour—found his return game after the second set and took the third and fourth sets but then had to save a match point in the fifth to win 2–6, 4–6, 6–1, 6–2, 7–5.

Elsewhere at Roland Garros, No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic advanced to the third round by beating Alex Molcan in straight sets. Should Djokovic, who is the defending champion, and Rafael Nadal, who’s won this tournament a record 13 times, continue to advance, they would meet in the quarterfinals.
