School choice is a policy that allows parents to take their children’s education funding to a provider of their choice. This gives them alternatives to local public school options, such as charter schools and magnet schools, as well as options such as school vouchers.
To learn more about American parents’ struggle for school choice, NTD spoke to Corey DeAngelis, an author and a senior fellow at the American Federation for Children. Mr. DeAngelis describes himself as a “school-choice evangelist,” and says he proposes funding students as opposed to systems.
