One person is dead and seven others hurt after a shooting near a college in Georgia.
Authorities say it happened in Fort Valley at an off-campus party.
The Fort Valley State University campus was placed on lockdown Saturday morning due to the shooting.
That has since been lifted.
The peach county coroner says the victim was 27-year-old Tyler French.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations says French was not a current student.
The GBI is investigating.
