According to the figures from American Automobile Association (AAA) and the Oil Price Information Service, the average price of one gallon of gas in Los Angeles County increased for the ninth consecutive day on Monday, reported by the regional media, City News Service. It has increased 14 times in the past 15 days.
City News Service reports that the average price increased by 0.4 cents on Monday making it $3.29, its highest since last March. In the past three weeks, the average U.S. price of gas increased by 9 cents, making it $2.35 per gallon. Although the average price of regular-grade gas in San Francisco is 30 cents less than last year, the price increased to $3.40 per gallon, the highest in the nation.
AAA said that last week the price of crude oil was pushed to the highest since pre-pandemic. If these prices remain high, Americans can expect to pay more this month.
