In a new development in the case of Madeleine McCann, the young girl who went missing whilst on holiday with her parents in Portugal in May 2007, Portuguese prosecutors identified a German man as a formal suspect. He was initially identified as a suspect in 2020. the man has been in custody in Germany but has not been charged with her murder.
