The German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen made it clear that the German military can take offensive measures in response to cyberattacks. She made the comment at the opening of a new cyber command center in Bonn.
Germany’s military stressed that any actions taken in response to cyber attacks need parliamentary approval.
