A 29-year-old Syrian man was arrested in Germany. Germany gave no specific information, except that it is related to ISIS membership.
He was arrested in the Leipzig region on Thursday.
Thomas De Maizière, the German interior minister, talked about why he was arrested.
“This was not a concrete attack prevention but rather, those were crimes, which were committed or which were allegedly planned to have been committed in connection with the participation and support of terrorist activities.”
Germany has been on alert since a man plowed a semi truck into a Christmas market last year, in an attack claimed by ISIS.
