Watching such a graphic and powerful scene such as a brave mother giraffe trying to defend her young calf from a pride of lions might be considered a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Despite the mother’s powerful and determined attempts to save her calf, the lions finally won this battle of life and death. The pride was relentless in their attacks, and the poor calf didn’t stand a chance, following a severe injury. You can literally see the baby struggling and the mother tries her best to save her calf.
Although it is a part of nature for animals to feed on one another, it is still very sad to watch this video.
