Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal attorney, considers there to be “more than enough evidence” to go to the U.S. Supreme Court in four different states.
Giuliani joined the hearing held at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday afternoon, where he asked to join to represent the case. He was granted permission by Judge Matthew Brann.
Over in the state’s Supreme Court, a ruling of 5–2 justices reversed a lower state court’s decision that had guaranteed Republican observers the right to watch ballot counts from no more than six feet away.
The court said the state’s election code does not set any such minimum distance. And doing so would be improperly rewriting the statute.
Campaign officials said that poll observers had been forced to watch ballots being counted from as far away as 100 feet, with barricades and guards preventing them from getting closer.
Giuliani said the case in Pennsylvania is the first on its way to the nation’s highest court. Adding there’s another case in Michigan that is “drafted and ready to go,” while others may follow.
