Global Finance CEOs Make First Post-COVID-19 China Trips

The head of China’s securities regulator met with bigwigs from Wall Street in Beijing Friday, including senior executives from Goldman Sachs, HSBC, and Bridgewater.

The regulator, called the China Securities Regulatory Commission, said international financial institutions and investors are welcome to expand in China.

The trip marks the top financial executives’ first China visit since the pandemic as global financial giants seek to bolster relations with Beijing.

Wall Street and European firms have stepped up expansion in China in recent years by establishing new setups and joint ventures.
