Government Launches 10-Year Drugs Strategy

The prime minister on Monday pledged to tackle lifestyle drug use and “come down hard” on drug gangs involved in trafficking Class-A drugs, as the government unveils a 10-year drugs strategy aiming to crack down on the illegal narcotics trade. Ministers say the plan will be the biggest increase in investment and recovery in an attempt to end the cycle of addiction and repeat offending.
