‘Great News for Donald Trump’ That Jury Goes Home Without a Verdict: Legal Analysis

Josh Hammer, the senior editor-at-large at Newsweek and host of “The Josh Hammer Show” podcast and syndicated radio show, spoke with NTD to give his assessment of the first day of jury deliberations in the New York criminal trial of former President Donald Trump.

Mr. Hammer said Judge Juan Merchan’s jury instructions were vague and open-ended, and the prosecution has not said what its actual theory is in the unprecedented case against a former president. Mr. Hammer, a lawyer himself, said he expects the two lawyers on the jury are likely to ask a lot of rudimentary questions in deliberations.
