They twist and turn around corners in a fiercely competitive race. Some get tangled in the turn. Some tip over.
Daniel Godden, the current Group 4 British champion, spoke about the sacrifices, “Until you get on one, you realize how much it rattles your body. You’re dealing with the bumps. Sometimes, you have to take some painkillers because your back’s hurting – it’s not easy to do, it’s quite physical on your body.”
Different categories of races accommodate different styles of lawn mowers. Apparently, lawn mowers make great race vehicles and they are much cheaper to maintain than racing cars.
