Hailstorm cracks windshields and dents cars in Denver

Denver got hit with massive pieces of hail. The hail fell and cracked windshields, and dented cars.

The hail covered an entire baseball field with ice before the start of a Colorado Rockies baseball game.

The hail also resonated.

Patrick Clark, a Denver resident, talked about what the hail sounded like as he worked nearby, “Sounded like gunshots in the store. It was so loud. We could talk and we couldn’t even hear ourselves speak. It was that loud in the store.”

The weather service warned winds would blow up to 70 miles per hour as the hail fell. The storm is headed north of Denver, traveling at 25 miles per hour.
