The Israel Defense Forces have uncovered the largest Hamas-operated explosive weapons factory found to date in Gaza.
NTD spoke to IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner to find out more about the Hamas terrorist organization’s weapons factory. “After the Arab Spring, the amount of weapons that … flowed into the Gaza Strip was really unbelievable,” he said.
“I think what is most important to understand is the magnitude of Hamas’s industry of terrorism,” said Mr. Lerner. “What we revealed yesterday is this huge weapons facility in order to build, create, and arm Hamas’s terrorist army; long-range rockets that could reach from the south all the way up to the north, [to] Tel Aviv, or beyond Tel Aviv even, to Jerusalem.”
“Imagine if this effort would have gone into the good of the people, the education, the health system, the welfare system, the economy: unfortunately, they chose to put it in the tools of terrorism and death.”
