Steven Spielberg is to direct Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep in new movie, “The Post.”

The drama will focus on the Washington Post’s publication of the 1971 Pentagon Papers, which made headlines around the world when the newspaper’s editor and publisher challenged the federal government over the paper’s right to publish the sensitive documents.

According to Variety, two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks would play the editor, Ben Bradlee, while three-time Oscar winner Streep will take on the role of the publisher, Kay Graham. This will be the first time the Hollywood legends have appeared in a film together.

Streep received her 20th Oscar nomination this year.

Spielberg, who like Streep has won three Oscars, is currently in post-production on a sci-fi action movie, “Ready Player One,” which is due to hit theaters in March 2018.
