What happens to the glass bridge after 150 hammer hits

China’s Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is home to the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, spanning a mega 430 meters and boasting a maximum height of 300 meters!

Now obviously the words ‘glass’ and ‘bridge’ are not the most encouraging phrases that tourists would like to hear. However the designers claim that the bridge should be able to hold 800 people at once, suggesting that in the future it could also be the sight for a major fashion show.

The designers are so confident in fact, that they invited guests to the bridge to hit the glass with a sledge hammer to prove the strength of the glass! Check it out.
