Chinese citizens in the northeast are up against a new challenge: poor air quality as the epidemic there continues to worsen.

The North-eastern city of Harbin is facing a serious situation. Now another northeastern city, Fushun, is worsening. At least one market, one supermarket, and one residential area have been locked down.

In Harbin, the epidemic is almost out of control. As is the air pollution.

A video taken at 10 a.m. on April 18, shows the whole city covered in smog. You can’t even see the cars in front of you. Harbin citizens say it’s very hard to bear.
