Hong Kong police arrested protestors Thursday after a candlelight vigil commemorating the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre.

Police banned this year’s vigil, saying the gathering would violate emergency virus measures. Thousands of protestors defied the ban and showed up anyway.
