Hong Kong Police on Anniversary of Tiananmen Massacre

The events mark the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre. On June 4, 1989, the Chinese military opened fire on unarmed college students, who had gathered to ask for democracy and uncensored education.

But authorities started cracking down on the gatherings in 2020.
