Hong Kong Police Threaten CEO of UK-Based NGO

Hong Kong police have accused UK-based human rights organization Hong Kong Watch of endangering the city’s national security. They told the founder of the group he could face three years of jail time if he returned to Hong Kong or China. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss says this is clearly an attempt to silence those who stand up for human rights in Hong Kong, and that Chinese and Hong Kong authorities must respect the right to free speech.
