On Dec. 12, Sebastien Lai, the son of imprisoned Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai met with Britain’s foreign secretary David Cameron urging the diplomat to help secure his father’s release.
The 76-year-old British citizen has been in detention since 2020 and he’s facing a litany of charges which could land him a lifetime prison sentence if he’s convicted. NTD’s Sam Wang has more.
