House Committee on Financial Services full Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Ranking Member Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) will host a hybrid hearing entitled, “Investigating the Collapse of FTX, Part I" on Dec. 13.

Panel 1: • John J. Ray III, chief executive officer, FTX Group
Panel 2: • Sam Bankman-Fried, founder and former CEO, FTX Group
Ray is scheduled to testify before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee on Dec. 13. Bankman-Fried was also scheduled testify remotely from the Bahamas, but this remains uncertain now that he has been detained by Bahamian law enforcement. This comes after a U.S. court shared a sealed indictment with the authorities of the island nation.
