Houthi Attacks Reveal Beijing’s Stakes in Red Sea

Beijing is taking a side as attacks in the Red Sea persist.

The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group has launched attacks on civilian vessels there, adding to regional tensions as the Israel-Hamas war rages.

Those attacks pose a threat to China’s commercial interests in Egypt along the Suez Canal. Because of this, the Communist Party is urging the group to cease aggression there.
