Halloween is over, and chances are you have a bunch of Halloween costumes at home, either from your kids or yourself. But did you know that according to earth.org, 92 million tonnes of textile waste is produced every year? Much of it ends up in landfills in countries like Chile, where the waste becomes bacteria breeding grounds. It can lead to serious health issues for people living near the landfill sites.
NTD spoke with Ross Lohr, the co-founder of “Project Repat” and “Scrappy Socks” to find out about alternatives for clothes that we don’t need anymore.
