How Progressive Prosecutors Who Refuse to Charge Violent Criminals Incentivize More Gun Crimes

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Amy Swearer, senior legal fellow at the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation, discussed how progressive-leaning prosecutors who continually refuse to prosecute violent crimes eliminate any deterrent for would-be and repeat felons to commit more criminal actions. Ms. Swearer’s testimony was given before a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun violence in America in Washington on Nov. 28.
