The Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Jalen Hurts have agreed on a five-year $255 million contract, according to ESPN, that will make him the league’s highest-paid player. Hurts just recently led the Eagles to the league’s best record and a Super Bowl appearance, while finishing runner-up for MVP. The contract reportedly includes $179 million in guarantees—which falls short of the $230 million guaranteed to Cleveland’s Deshaun Watson—but the $51 million average annual value tops Aaron Rodgers, for the highest overall.
