Author Brene Brown wrote in a viral post that she was ready to get into her car after going to the gym, but spotted something strange on her windshield.
It turned out to be a note (actually a napkin) with something written on it. The note explained that she had a secret admirer, and he asked her if she would like to go dancing before leaving his number.
“You are really cute,” it said.
Sounds a bit creepy, right?
The number, however, turned out to be her husband’s number.
“Someone left this napkin note on my car at the gym this morning. I was like, ‘What the heck?’ Then I recognized my husband’s phone number. He had me at two-stepping,” she wrote.
She explained to blogger Kelly Rae Roberts that her husband’s note was significant because it showed her husband cared.
“A long time ago someone told me that a good marriage is not 50-50. A good marriage is having a partner who’s willing to show up with 80% when you only have 20% and who can count on you to do the same. I could NOT have the career and family I have without Steve,” she said.
