An illegal alien was arrested after ambushing an Oklahoma mother on March 21 and shooting her to death, according to the local sheriff.

Witnesses riding in the same vehicle as Paige Gomer said that Ramon Hector Martine Ontiveros was waiting for them on Highway 37 in Canadian County.

The witnesses told Canadian County Sheriff deputies that Ontiveros opened fire on the vehicle and struck the back windshield with his AR-15, reported News 9.

Gomer was struck by a bullet and killed by a gunshot wound to her chest.

Witnessed told investigators that the shooting appeared to stem from a dispute between Ontiveros and German Zamarripa, who was driving the vehicle that Gomer was in. Ontiveros “was mad at German due to some insults German made about Ontiveros’s wife,” according to court documents.

Sheriff Chris West said that authorities found Ontiveros, a native of Mexico, was in the United States illegally.

“While we obtained an arrest warrant for a murder charge against Ontiveros, we are still actively involved in this investigation where an American citizen died at the hands of an illegal alien in Canadian County,” he said in a statement.

In addition to being held on a first-degree murder charge, Ontiveros has an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer. If he is released he will be deported.

According to the sheriff’s office, Ontiveros “made admissions he was responsible for firing a weapon, which resulted in Gomer’s fatal gunshot wound.”

A friend of Gomer, 28, told KFOR that she hopes Ontiveros goes to jail for life.

“I just hope he never gets out,” Sosha Christmas said. “I hope he never gets to see freedom again. I don’t know who he is, but I hope he gets what he deserves.”

She also remembered her friend, who left a daughter behind, calling Gomer selfless.

“She always had your back always,” said Christmas “She was just a phone call away.”

A family friend, meanwhile, launched a GoFundMe fundraiser for Gomer’s family, saying the funds would go toward funeral expenses and to help in the care of her daughter.

Alabama Schoolteacher Killed by Illegal Alien: Prosecutors

An illegal alien living in Alabama crashed into a car driven by a schoolteacher, killing her upon impact, officials said.

Domingo Marcos, 16, slammed into Sonya Jones on March 18, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors told WPMI that Marcos is an illegal alien from Guatemala who tried claiming asylum in Arizona in 2017 but failed to show up for his hearing, triggering a denial of his claim in addition to an order for his deportation.

According to the Department of Justice, 89 percent of asylum-seekers from Central America pass an initial credible-fear screening at the border but only 9 percent are subsequently granted asylum by an immigration judge.

Of those who pass the initial screening, 40 percent fail to lodge an official asylum application and 31 percent fail to show up for their immigration court hearing, according to the department.

More than 800,000 asylum-seekers are already in the United States awaiting adjudication of their claims. The immigration court system is so bogged down that it will take at least seven years to clear the existing claims, without adding new ones, according to The Epoch Times.

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are overwhelmed by how many aliens are on the run, including many convicted or accused of crimes.

“The reality is, even if you skip out on the process, you’re probably not gonna come to the attention of ICE or be a target of ICE unless you’ve also committed another crime,” she told Fox 10. “And so, it’s just a matter of ICE doing triage.”

The center found in 2015 that nearly 180,000 of the illegal aliens with deportation orders were convicted of other crimes.

Prosecutors said that Marcos not only killed Jones but that he left the scene of the crash. It wasn’t clear if he had a driver’s license and if he did how he obtained it.

Marcos was arrested and charged with homicide by vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
