While these men and women of the service industry get paid little wages, they make up for it in tips — that is, when people actually tip.
Yet, that doesn’t always happen. But every once in a while, they receive a tip that makes their week worthwhile.
This is what happened to Johnny.
“It’s Been Kinda’ Rough”
The waiter was hosting Maurice Green and his family. During the course of the meal, Green could spot that the night wasn’t going Johnny’s way, so to speak.
Practically, the waiter had experienced a bad day. However, Green would soon see that it was deeper than he knew.
As the video starts, Green asks Johnny if he can get personal with him for a moment. The waiter consents.
Once Green tells him that he recognizes it’s been a rough week and wants to sow into his life, you can see the waiter start to fight back tears.

You Never Know What People Are Going Through
According to Green’s video, he gave him a 20 percent tip.
At first, according to Green’s account of the family member across the booth, he was going to simply add a “zero” to that 20 percent.
However, Maurice Green told Johnny he’d do him one better and give $100, plus the initial tip.
At that point, Johnny slowly begins to break down.
“You just paid off my car, sir,” Johnny states.
Green continues his explanation regarding Johnny’s hard work, then he gives another $100 … then another.
A $300 tip.
Johnny Is in Full Tears
At this point, Green notes that he acknowledges it might be inappropriate, but he welcomes Johnny for a hug. It’s obvious Johnny wanted to give one anyway.
According to Green, he’s a “controversial” man, and he doesn’t mind going against protocol.
It was almost like a father-son moment for the two men.
There’s no telling what’s been on Johnny’s plate during this season of life.
Yet, it’s apparent Green’s tip was right on time. Sometimes, all we need is a little nudge in the right direction. A little encouragement from the coach, you know?
Speaking of which, according to Green’s Facebook page, he’s a credit coach.
Hopefully, Green’s encouragement puts Johnny on top of his circumstances.
