Indian navy catches pirates before they can act

The Indian navy caught seven pirate boats. A distress call was sent out from a Liberian vessel after it was surrounded by pirates. The Indian navy sprang into action and prevented the piracy, and then caught 7 of the 10 pirate vessels.

After capturing the boats, the navy commandos searched them and recovered AK-47s and ammunition.

The incident did not occur off the coast of India, but in the Gulf of Aden, near Oman.
