Inmates Reportedly Received Over $1.3 Billion in Stimulus Checks

More than 1.1 million incarcerated individuals received COVID-19 stimulus checks, totaling over $1 billion, says Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) who got the information from the IRS, according to The Washington Free Beacon. Senate Democrats voted 50–49 against an amendment proposed by Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) to block the checks from going to inmates.
