Zip ties are easy to come by; any hardware store sells them, and they are good to have on hand for use in an emergency. But what if someone is up to no good and has the intent of tying someone up?
If you were to find yourself in an unfortunate situation of being restrained with zip ties, it is useful to know just how to break free. Your first reaction would probably be to desperately wriggle your hands, trying to squeeze out of the bindings.
However, that wouldn’t do much good; it would only cause you pain and eventually swelling.

Although it may be useful for plastic zip ties, metal-reinforced zip ties are another story…
