Many people are demanding Chinese police release the investigation report on one of China’s first whistleblowers who revealed the possible outbreak of the CCP virus, but authorities seem to be playing the blame game.
NTD refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China and create a global pandemic.
Chinese authorities published the report on March 19 on the investigation of whistleblower Li Wenliang. It indicated that the local police should not have warned Li and should withdraw the warning and hold relevant people accountable.
But the report did not say who gave the right to the local police to do so in the first place, and what kind of policy the central government is following.
